With the current government health orders extended, the clubrooms will remain closed for access until further
notice. This topic was discussed in yesterdays monthly meeting of the club with changes occurring in the health
order on Monday.

The daily morning tea net continues, and the club would like to thank Bob VK2AOR and Dave VK2KFU for
their amazing efforts. With stay-at-home orders still in effect, it is a terrific way to get to know your fellow
operators. A massive thanks go out to Bob and Dave for running these nets, you will be sure to learn a little piece
of history each day.

Adrian VK2ABS our youngest club member who is an avid SSTV fan hosts a net every 2 weeks. Held each
fortnight on the Club’s 2 Meter WICEN repeater 147.125 MHz with 91.5 Hz tone. The net consists of 2-3 rounds
predominately in Scottie-2 mode. You don’t even need a computer; if you have access to record the audio, there
are many tools available for you not only record but the encode your own images into audio files and transmit via
your radio. Adrian has had a large amount of support from other members and would love to see you drop in. The
next net is scheduled for Friday the 8th October at 7:30 PM.

Alan VK2MG ran last week’s Thursday night net. The topic this week was, “What projects have you meant to do
but have never quite got to?”. Responses ranged from various electrical and radio related projects through to
building a steam traction engine. The net is run every Thursday night at 8:00pm on the club’s 2m VK2RAG
repeater – 146.725 with 91.5Hz tone.

The SSTV and Weekly nets are also video streamed live to the club’s Facebook page.

The club’s Brand Meister DMR repeater is still having problems. The Echolink and IRLP systems remain offline,
and the team hope to have this returned soon once travel restrictions have eased.

D-Star and Radnet DMR repeaters are fully functional.
